Loss of income
A crash that wasn’t your fault shouldn’t wipe out your week. If a replacement vehicle isn’t available, you can claim lost income while your car is off the road, backed by your tax records.
Membership
One membership, real protection, and repairs booked straight into our partner shop. Here’s exactly what you get, and how it differs from rideshare insurance.
Cover vs insurance
Most rideshare insurance is a car insurance policy with rideshare use added. Stallion works differently. It’s a members’ association for Melbourne Uber, DiDi and taxi drivers. For $110 or $130 a month, members get vehicle cover, repairs booked straight into Nationwide Collisions, and a replacement vehicle or loss of income cover when the crash isn’t their fault. Stallion is not a licensed insurer. Cover is provided under your membership agreement, and the terms are confirmed before you join. Drive for Uber? See cover for Uber drivers.
| Compared | Typical rideshare insurance | Stallion membership |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | An insurance policy from an insurer | A members’ association, with cover under a membership agreement |
| Repairs | Usually through the insurer’s repairer network | Booked into Nationwide Collisions, our repair partner |
| Lock-in | Often an annual policy | Standard plan is month to month |
| Price | Usually quote-only | $110 or $130 a month, published |
| Replacement car and lost income | Often optional extras | Included when the crash isn’t your fault |
| Who you call | A claims line or online portal | The club |
A general comparison of how rideshare insurance usually works. No insurer is named and every policy differs, so check any policy’s own wording.
When your car needs work, the club books it into Nationwide Collisions, our repair partner in Coburg North. No hunting for a repairer after a crash, and no chasing an outside shop for updates.
Repair times depend on the damage and on parts, and we keep you updated along the way.

Downtime is lost income, so we keep you moving. When the crash isn’t your fault, you get a replacement vehicle while yours is repaired, once the other driver’s insurer accepts liability.
After a crash, one call and we arrange the tow to Nationwide Collisions. For at-fault or disputed claims, towing is covered up to 100km from the Melbourne CBD.
If someone else caused the crash, we sort your repair and chase their side for it. If it was your fault, you’re still covered - you pay a $1,200 excess. If the other driver is at fault and identified, you pay no excess. Either way you’re not left working out who pays for what.
No huge lump sum to get started. You pay monthly, so cover fits around how you actually earn. Plans start at $110 a month.
