DiDi in Victoria
What DiDi asks drivers for.
Before you can drive with DiDi in Victoria, DiDi asks for the following. Here it is in plain terms.
- Licence
Full Australian licence, held for at least 6 months
- ID
A second ID, such as a passport or birth certificate
- Accreditation
Current driver accreditation
- Car age
No more than 15 years old
- Doors and seats
At least 4 doors, seats 4 to 6 passengers
- Registration
Registered as a commercial passenger vehicle in Victoria
- Insurance
Third-party or comprehensive insurance, with you listed as a driver
- Inspection
A vehicle inspection every 12 months (a roadworthy is accepted)

Multi-app drivers
Built for drivers on more than one app.
Most DiDi drivers also run Uber. The membership covers your car, not one app, so there’s nothing extra to set up when you switch.
